I had the coolest experience yesterday! We went to a place where you prepare 6 (or 12) gourmet meals, then wrap them up and take them home for a week of good eatin’! You just throw it in your freezer, then defrost and cook and you have a balanced, 3-4 coursed meal! It might sound lazy but I need some help these days in the dinner-department. Cooking has been my responsibility while we are staying with mom and dad and we right now I need a boost!:) It was so cool though, and a GREAT idea if you know someone who just had a baby, or needs some help saving time. Jim is off for a few days so life is good! We played raquetball yesterday and we are baaadddd. I really don’t know if there is any hope at all, we might just go our separate ways when it comes to our cardio workout!:) I also signed Gabe up for swimming lessons too. Today we might go furniture shopping for the new house, they are digging in and building it now…less than 2 months until we move in!:)

That sounds like fun! What type of foods did you make? Does it cost alot to do that? I wish they had a place like that in Green Bay 🙂

To the person who left the comment above, I just wanted to let you know that they do have places like this in Appleton and Neenah. The one in Appleton is called Dinner Helpers (www.dinnerhelpers.com) and the one in Neenah is U-Prep-it (www.uprepit.com). I am due to have a baby any day and we are seriously considering doing this once the baby is here. Thanks for letting me know how great it is Brooke!

Krista-Thaks for providing the info! I knew there were a few places there, but I couldn’t remember the name. Good info!:)

I can’t believe I’m responding, usually I just “read” these things. I live in New Holstein (WI) and I just got a brochure for something called Main Dish Kitchen. The web site is http://www.maindishkitchen.com Apparently, you schedule a session online, select your dishes (6 or 12 meals), enter your payment, then meet as a group to prepare them. I haven’t tried it, but I am giving it serious consideration.
