We just got home from the Hall of Fame 5-mile race! What a fun morning and best of all, I finished! Lol.:) Gabe did the kids “fun run” and really loved it, then it was my turn. The course was much more difficult than I thought it would be, and I was s-l-o-w but finished at 49 minutes. I know it won’t win any awards but, I’m still proud of myself! I thought it would be easier since I’ve been running that far on my workouts, but it was tough! It was sooooo hot and a few people bit the dust which is always scary. I really hope they are okay. For me it’s always fun to just people-watch. So many are in amazing shape (with like 5% body fat or something crazy like that). Then there are always some who are not in good shape at all, or elderly. Those are the ones that inspire me the most. To get out there, knowing it’s hot and hilly is not easy, and it motivates me to keep going when I see how hard they are working too! Each person has a story, or a reason they are running and it’s just a neat thing to be a part of. Anyway, here are a few pictures from the event!
That’s me crossing the Finish Line…at last!:)
