What a spectacular weekend! The weather has been absolutely beautiful, the trees are picturesque and it was perfect for a little road trip. Saturday we went to a birthday party at my friends house WAY out in the country but the drive ended up being a great sight-seeing adventure. This photo is in her back yard, Jim and I are envious! They have their own pond and secluded little paradise, it made Jim and me crave country living. 🙂 Today is another wonderful weather day so we’ve been washing cars, mowing the lawn and just enjoying a relaxed Sunday without a hectic schedule.
It seems like each year I cherish the season’s changing a little more. It’s just so neat to share different times of year with the kids. To see it through their eyes makes it so much richer. Growing up I just kind of took for granted the leaves changing and all that came with it. Now though, we get to teach the kids all about it and share their excitement and it’s such a blessing. In a few days we are going to a fun place with hay rides, a petting zoo, homemade pies, a pumpkin patch, and corn maze! Hard to top that, we really are fortunate to live in such an abundant country, aren’t we!?
