Long time no write! I have been so consumed with getting “The Mom Squad” off the ground, what a big job! It’s been a blessing more than anything though so I’ve been happy to do it. For those of you who don’t know what The Mom Squad is, it’s a group of wonderful ladies we’ve assembled at The Fish to be our “experts”. We are starting the feature next Monday and I can’t wait! The mom’s will be sharing all sorts of wonderful things from advice, to tips for other parents, opinions on new products and more! Aside from that it’s been a regular week in our household. The boys are pumped for trick or treating this weekend, I just hope the weather holds out. I should have time to post photos (I hope)!
On another note, Jim received some sad news this week. A friend from his old Army unit, Sgt. Tony Knier was killed in Iraq. I don’t remember him but Jim said they were close and he was only 31 years old. He left behind a wife and three little kids. The story is so heartbreaking in so many ways. My heart just aches for his wife, I cannot even fathom hearing that knock at the door and seeing the men on my front porch; because you instantly know why they’re there. Jim said Tony was a very serious, focused guy and an excellent soldier. It’s just such a loss. Here is the link to an article and photo of his family:
