What a fun weekend! We did a few first-time events and everything was a hit! Saturday we took the boys sledding for the first time and loved every minute of it. We met another family at the hill with some really cool high-tech sleds and they let us borrow them so we could race. Gabe and Grant were fearless and we laughed our heads off, it was a great memory! We also went to the symphony for the first time over the weekend. Jim loves classical music and is very familiar with all the composers and can tell you within a few notes if it’s Beethoven, Bach, or Tchaikovsky whereas I can decipher between the Beatles and Beach Boys and that’s about it! It was beautiful though and I’m always astounded at the talent of people who can play at that level. It’s just nice every so often to break away from routine and do something different.
The other big excitement here is Jim is FINALLY done with college as of today!! It’s taken over 7 years for him to earn his BA and he’s stuck to it while working full-time and taking care of the family and I am so proud of him! So today is his last day of school and he is free!! Everyone keeps telling him to go for his Master’s degree though and he may pursue that at some point. Things have changed and apparently a BA isn’t what it used to be (so we’ve heard)? I still think it’s a great accomplishment! That’s the quick update for now. I am out of time but I wanted to write about our vow renewal. Things are coming together and it looks like I will get to wear an actual, REAL wedding dress! We are planning a fun way to interact through the process, I’ll be back with more details soon!
