Wow, thank you for the feedback! I received a lot of excellent e-mails about our Disney Dilemma (see post below). Here is what you told me: the good times to go include Thanksgiving, the last week of April and first week of May, and beginning of September. Also, good websites to check out are: www.allears.net, and www.MouseSavers.com.
Great info!! I think anyone who has been to Disney is probably somewhat of an expert because you need to study so much before you go! I remember when we went a few years ago I had our “Frommer’s Disney” book practically memorized. Anyway, things are suddenly up in the air due to some unexpected circumstances so we’ll see what happens.
On another note, Jim and I are all-consumed right now with budget (still). Earlier this month we decided to get a financial planner to help us save, invest, and eliminate debt. We’ve read all the books we can get our hands on about being money savvy but we just felt it would be good to get an expert opinion. For one thing, we don’t have a will or life insurance and those are major areas we need to take care of. Over the weekend Jim and I discussed details of “what would happen if….”. I don’t like that at all. I understand the importance of it but it throws me into an anxiety attack to imagine worst-case scenarios. Still, it happens every single day and we need to be prepared and face that possibility. It would be that much worse if we didn’t have a game plan already in place. So that is an inside look at what we’ve been doing. Heavy stuff. I guess that’s about it. We’ve got so much going on that I am sick to my stomach about it! I get overwhelmed when I deal with numbers and the big picture, etc.. We don’t make a ton of money but I want to be smart with what we have so we’ll see how this process goes!
