What a week! Gabriel has strep throat and a really bad stomach bug. I felt so bad for him, he couldn’t keep anything down and I did a ton of extra laundry which kept me busy too.:) Thankfully he’s doing good today though and should be back to school on Monday.
We started a new technology on the morning show! We are starting to videotape some segments and we’ll post it on our website when we do. Susan from the Mom Squad brought in some fantastic French Bread (stuffed with cream cheese, powdered sugar and blueberries). It hit the spot!! To check it out go to http://955thefish.royalrhinodesign.com/momsquad/index.html . Technology is so fun!:) I need to post that recipe too.
This month is going to be so busy and I can’t believe we are almost 2 weeks into May already! Garrett’s birthday is on the 10th and I’ve been getting emotional thinking back to last year at this time. I do this every year, for every child!:) I just get so overwhelmed thinking of what a blessing he is, and such a gift to our family. I have his cake but so far we don’t have any presents for him. To be honest, I don’t even think he needs anything. Is that bad?! He just has so much already and he won’t even know he’s “supposed” to have a gift. Still, it would be nice to see him open something, even if it’s a little present. The most important thing to me is surrounding him with love and we are going to have a big family shindig to celebrate his birthday, and Mother’s Day next weekend. Then the weekend after that is the big marathon!! I’m supposed to run 12 tonight! I think I can do it.
Although I don’t think I’ll be too motivtated to run after our Kentucky Derby party. My dad is in Louisville, at the race so we are going to gather around the tv and look for him (haha, I’m sure we’ll see him right?!). Derby day is always a special tradition in our family though and we have tons of food to go along with it so it looks like I’ll be needing every one of those 12 miles to burn those calories off!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
