I am on a new mission to have our own garden. I never been good with anything green, but I’m attempting to turn over a new leaf. I am on a kick to have an organic garden where we can go out and just grab fresh peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, or lettuce and have our own supply. Not only do I think it would help us eat healthier, but it would save money and teach us all something new! Plus I know the boys would really dig it. So tomorrow I am having a “garden consultant” come over and offer some advice. It’s actually a friend of my mom’s who is a pro and offered to come over and look over our yard, our needs, and make some recommendations. Part of the reason I don’t garden is I know it would be time consuming to research everything and learn about pesticides, diseases the plants could get, etc. So thankfully she is going to give me a crash course and help get us started. I don’t know for sure if I’m going though with it yet, it just depends on how much upkeep is needed. I have absolutely no idea what to expect though, so this will be a brand new experience! I’ll let you know. Who knows, but next summer we may be selling cucumbers by the side of the road if it goes well! Lol.
