I think we might get a wood burning heater. The cost of natural gas is way up (just what we need, right). I’ve heard heating bills are expected to be DOUBLE this winter. That would be pretty bad scenario for us (financially) if it comes to pass, so we are trying to plan ahead. A family we know has one and it’s been good to find out the pros/cons first hand from them. I think we are going to do it though after weighing everything. They don’t even use their furnace in the winter and the wood burning stove they have works for their entire house and saves them big bucks. You do have to stock up on the wood and they may add up, but they’ve devised a system where they get wood for free, and I’m all about that!:) After doing some online searching I also found wood pellet burning heaters and we need to compare and learn more before we make a decision.
