Today we interviewed author Kate Reardon. She’s the author of “Top Tips for Girls” and so much fun! The book is a compilation of every useful, practical piece of advice we ladies discover (and then like to share) along the way. One of my favorite tips deals with chocolate, go figure!:) If you want to make a candy bar last longer, put it in the freezer. That way it will take more time to chew it and you won’t just scarf it down, it takes more effort to enjoy! I tried it already today and it was really effective. Although, I did almost break off a tooth in the process!:) Here’s one more I learned: The best way to get baby-soft feet? Apply Vaseline at night (not expensive lotion or cocoa butter) and put socks on. It will heal cracked heels and make your feet supple in no time! I love little tidbits like that. You can pick her book up or listen to our morning show for the interview!:)
On a totally opposite topic, Gabriel’s photo is posted on the Boys’ Life website! It’s a little thing, but he was excited about it. A while back he went out (with Jim) and cleaned up our neighborhood. Scholastic had a nationwide contest to help “Go Green” and he was one o 2,000 scouts in the country to WIN! He got a badge and it came in the mail yesterday. It was like watching Ralphie in “A Christmas Story” when he gets the little orphan Annie decoder. He was beside himself! So I had to share, I can’t resist!:) Here is the link (he’s on the bottom of the page).
