This could be the cutest kids movie of all time. It came out in 1994 and I remembering watching it then, but then forgot about it. A few months ago I saw it at Family Video, we rented it, and the rest is history! The boys LOVE this film! It has all the ingredients of a hit; boys in a clubhouse, gross stuff, funny pranks, a loyal dog, and a racing competition at the end. It’s such a classic! Grant has the entire movie practically memorized. It’s so amazing to me how fast kids can remember lyrics to a song, or lines in a movie! Anyway, we rent this weekly and my plan is to buy a copy as a present to the boys for Christmas. My mom watched it with us over the weekend and I think she enjoyed it as much as the boys! The kids in this movie are the cutest ever. If you are looking for a perfect movie to appeal to everyone…I say Little Rascals all the way!
We really had a wonderful weekend. Jim went bow hunting with my dad, brother and a buddy and we held the fort down. Jim didn’t get anything but they had a great time (the adventure is half the fun isn’t it)?! We went to a local park for a giant, free candy walk. Then we went to a state park for a haunted hay ride, campfire, magic show and fun stuff. You know the best part was, all of it was free! I learned to start checking the Ohio websites (like discover ohio.com and the state park website) and it lists all sorts of great events that are usually no charge. This time of year is so much fun to take the kids to all the different harvest things and I’m trying to milk it while it lasts!
Okay, one more thing. Over the weekend I was excited to get my EWTN Religious Catalogue for Christmas 2008. They have the most beautiful items! One thing I saw that I really want to get is a book called “A Special Place for Santa” and it talks about how the roles of Jesus and Santa are fitted together. Our kids definitely know that Christmas is Jesus’ birthday, but I love that this book reinforces that. That’s about it for today! Time to take Molly out!:)
