Well, we made it! Home sweet home after a fantastic weekend. In my last post (below) I was bracing for the dreaded “Top Thrill Dragster”. It was really the only ride in the park that made me nervous, and of course that was what the winner (Debbie) picked! Lol. We met Brandon Heath (great Contemporary Christian artist) and she rode in the front car with him. I was able to rope Jim and my friend Jen into coming along too! We met Debbie and her husband Eric and when she informed me she was a grandmother and was not afraid, I knew I could not chicken out. If Debbie could do it, by golly so could I! Anyway, we only snapped one photo due to the craziness and rush of it all. We got to skip the line and hop right on. Here is a picture of Debbie and Eric along with me and Jim.
I am feeling bad I didn’t take more photos! I pulled them up on the computer today and regret not having the camera handy to capture the boys on different rides, etc. I know it’s in our memory though. We had a wonderful time and no one threw up or had a meltdown, that is a minor miracle! Okay, time go go unpack. Another busy week is in store, only a few more days until the Akron Marathon!
Hey Brooke,
My mom read ALL the rides into her late 60's/early 70's. The only reason she stopped at that point was she didn't get to the parks anymore. Her and my dad loved the rides and didn't hesitate to go on them. Their rule of thumb was…"wild ride, mild ride", they just alternated them the entire day.
