Happy New Year! I went for a run outside tonight and it was such a nice time to quietly reflect on the past year. Not only 2009 but the past 10 years since we are about to usher in a new decade! It’s especially sentimental because 10 years ago tonight I was on my first date with my husband. We thought it might be our last with all the Y2K talk! Lol. I can hardly look back without turning into a puddle of tears at how the Lord has guided us over the past ten years. Three amazing boys who light up our lives every single second of every day. Three painful miscarriages, one at 13 weeks when we lost our little Luke and two and a half years of infertility. We have been busy. 🙂 There is so much more though between family members passing on, moving to different states, changing jobs and seeing each other expand and change in ways we never expected!:) Time goes so fast doesn’t it? As my friend Bobbi says, He shows us he is truly Jehovah-Jirah: God who provides.
As I told my friend Debbie tonight;
God bless you as you celebrate the New Year. May it be a time of renewal and a reminder that God is in control of each second, each day, each hardship and happiness. The God who was, and is, and is to Come. Praise his name forever! May you feel his presence as we start a new decade.
“With all creation I sing,
praise to the King of kings
you are my everything, and I will
adore you.”

I started following your blog when you came to the Fish. Your posts the last few months have an aura of sadness and struggle. I hope you find peace and joy in whatever God has in store for you in 2010.
