Can you believe it’s August?! Back-to-school month has officially begun! This was another fun/busy summer weekend. Here are a few of the highlights….
Jim and Gabe were at Webelos Resident Camp (for Scouts) so it was just me, Grant and Garrett for a few days. Friday night I took the boys to one of our favorite places, the grotto at Little Flower church. We did the Stations of the Cross and ended just in time to catch this beautiful scene. My cell phone camera doesn’t do it justice, but I was happy to at least have a way to capture the moment.
Saturday I had a remote at Laura’s Home in Cleveland. It is a shelter for women and children and a place we support and believe in. I met some amazing listeners! Please pray for Angel, he is a single dad, raising 4 kids on his own and greatly in need of support and encouragement. I also met Fish fan, Leah. What a cutie!
Finally, we ended the weekend with a trip to Stat Care. Grant was climbing in his closet to get something, fell, and cut open his chin. I was downstairs making supper and heard a big “thump” followed by a combination of a scream and a cry. Parents know, that is never good! His cut is under his chin and although it was small, it was deep. He needed 6 stitches but he took it like a trooper.
It was definitely an eventful weekend! Thankfully, Grant is okay (and enjoying the extra TLC). 🙂 I am sure he will be getting extra helpings of ice cream this week…along with giant marshmallows!:)

Sorry about Grant :-(.. Buty Thankful he is OK!!..
My boys have done some crazy stuff like that!
Dante' my oldest Jumped off the back of teh couch when he was 3, and had asmall fracture on his toe..
And My middle Son, Dominic was sliding down the steps on a matress, flipped off of it and landed on his chin.. He split it open!.. Thank God it only needed that skin glue.. But the sick feeling that goes through a moms stomach, when one of her kids is hurt..UGGGG
Needless to say, we have made a few trips to the STAT care 🙂

Glad that Grant is okay but I must ask, Brooke, how do you do it all? I have been so stressed lately that I've put so much off. You always seem to find the time to do it all. How much sleep do you average? Maybe my 7 hours is too much. So glad you have a blog! God bless! Gina
