It’s been a bustling evening, I feel like it’s the night before Christmas!:) September 29th is the “Feast of the Archangels: Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael”. This is a significant day for me for many reasons, and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate! Our family has such a deep affection for those particular angels (of course Gabriel, and Garrett Michael know whom they were named after). Tonight we did “Archangel trivia” and I was impressed at how well the boys did. I am also going in to Garrett’s preschool to make this craft with the kids. We made chocolate angel molds (sorry about the flash):
We put the angels inside a goodie bag with the tradional “Angel of God” prayer.
Now that the goodies are made and the preparation complete, it’s time for bed!:)
Oh, a few more quick things. First, I am happy to report that the butternut squash apple & bacon soup was delicious. If you want a new soup recipe, I highly recommend it. Also, along with it I made apple bread with chocolate chips. It really hit the spot. Click here for the recipe, it’s pretty easy.
