What a fun weekend! A little work, and a little play. Friday it was “Ladies Night” at Keim Lumber in Charm, OH (beautiful Amish country). Designed to be an evening of bonding, building, eating and shopping. As soon as I heard that, I called some of my closest friends and we made a date! Technically I was there for work but it sure didn’t feel like it. It was my first visit to Charm, but definitely won’t be the last. So peaceful and pretty. Here are some pics.

I was able to have some nice girl time with some of my favorite ladies!! Here is a group shot of us: Addie, Jen, Karen, Jayme, Lisa and me.
It was so nice to have some concentrated girl time! There were a ton of fun activities lined up, but truthfully, the highlight for me was just sitting down to dinner and catching up with good friends. To top it off, Ray McConnell, the owner of “The Carpenter’s Cafe'” brought us out hot fudge sundaes and an entire tray of toppings to build our own dessert. Oh joy!!
It doesn’t get much better than girlfriends and chocolate! Then on Saturday, the family went to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and rode the train for the first time. Here it is, pulling in to the

Here’s our stop! We decided to get off at Peninsula for sightseeing and hiking.
This ended up being such a great place to spend 9/11. We thanked God for peace in country, and the blessing to be able to have the freedom to explore in safety.
