Snow day…hooray! 2011 has been a snowy start! Due to my long commute I really dread driving in it, but playing in it is another matter. Today the kids enjoyed making a fort and this evening we all enjoyed sledding. We found a new snow hill and tried it out.
There are few things that test your fitness level than trudging up a big hill with a sled. I realized that my endurance is not what it used to be. Speaking of which, that is something I am hoping to change. Jim and I are on our second week of training for the Cleveland Marathon. Believe it or not, the FULL 26.2 miles. I recently laid out our motivation in a post on my adoption blog. So far so good, just trying to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Also working on trying to eat better. Weight Watchers has some great recipes as does Kiana Tom’s website. I remember watching her body building show on ESPN years ago, and she has transitioned to “Fit Mom TV” since she is a mom now. This is her recipe page. The chicken pot pie sounds good!
