Happy Sunday! Today marks exactly one week since our “Gotcha Day” with Karolina! Here in Poland, the term of endearment is to say “Karolinka” for little girls. We have been calling her that too, just because it’s so cute. Anyway, we had a great morning, and now that she has been with us for 1 week, I am beginning to feel like we are slowly hitting our stride. She wasn’t eating great at first, and that was torture for my mommy’s heart. I didn’t know what to do and felt so guilty and helpless (like a rookie all over again). She is also teething which I know factors in too, but it’s still taken some adjustment time for us to feel confident.
Tomorrow I will be 20 weeks pregnant, the halfway point already! Things are going great and I can feel the baby kicking away daily. It’s always such a comfort to feel your baby moving and know everything is okay. After our losses and infertility, some days I still can’t believe it. Well, better get to lunch, let’s hope another baby food jar will be empty soon!:)

The pictures are so beautiful. I know Karolina is your little angel and adopted daughter, but I really can;t get over how much she resembles you Brooke. I know it is crazy to say this, but both you and Jim have very similar facial features to her. She truly was meant to be your angel!

This is my first visit to your BLOG but I am a faithful listener in the mornings on my way to work each day. The pic of you looking over your shoulder hold her is simply breathtaking – a "framer" as we call it in our family! Blessings and prayers to you today and every day from here forward with her and all your family!
I was shocked but totally excited to hear your "news" of the new baby also! I have heard of this frequently … the adoption with the new baby – they will be "twins" of sorts 🙂 Enjoy all the blessings from the Lord – He meant them specifically for you!
