Uncle Matt joined in on the fun!
Karolina was all smiles for her first pumpkin-picking experience!:)
After that we went to Rice’s Nursery where early season Mums are buy-one-get-one free!
Friday night Jim and I went on a much-overdue date. We planned it so we could see the opening night of “Courageous.” The movie is from the same filmmakers behind “Fireproof” and it’s premise revolves around inspiring fathers and lifting up families. Although it’s a low(er) budget film, and only opening in 11-hundred theaters in the country, the 7:10 time was SOLD OUT at our theater! Good for the movie, bad for us. So, we had to wait until 10:10 to catch the second showing, but it was worth it. When I saw the preview, I loved the plot but felt it had a slight cheese factor, just because most of the actors in the movie are not professionals. This is a usual trait for Sherwood Film movies, which is fine, but the viewer may have to overlook that aspect in order to absorb the storyline. Anyway, this was by far, the BEST movie they have done, and I was crying buckets! We laughed, cried, held hands and walked away with a renewed sense of purpose. This is a must-see movie! I know it’s a long shot at the theaters, but we are praying it does well, and the people who see it are touched and inspired. Here is the trailer. Click here for showtimes. It’s worth every penny!

Brooke, my husband and I went on a date Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary and saw this movie – definitely a tear jerker, but what a wonderful movie!!! I know it's not the awesome cinematics and acting that Hollywood produces, but to think that a chuch produced it is very impressive. We also were shocked, but glad, to see how crowded our 4pm showing was.
