Happy Easter friends. God’s blessings and joy to you, I hope your celebration was happy and full of God’s warmth and grace!
There’s a peace I’ve come to know
though my heart and flesh may fail
There’s an anchor for my soul
I can say “it is well”
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
Victory is won
He is risen from the dead!

Without question, this Easter was one of the most memorable of my life. With all the unknowns and challenges of last Easter, I couldn’t help but think of how different this year was. Last year my dad was in the hospital, stricken with cancer and weak from fighting. He was in quarantine and our celebration was very somber. Last year Jim and I were also back from our first trip to Poland and meeting Karolina for the first time. It was hard to celebrate the fullness of the day knowing our daughter was so far. I was still battling morning sickness and we were financially battling the big adoption expenses. Given all that took place, I celebrate where we are this year!!:) I hope your day was equally blessed. Here is a photo recap:
Family picture #1 (outtake). Everyone is smiling, BUT my brother’s fingers were in the shot. Try again.
Adorable baby courtesy of God’s miraculous hand. Augustine tried our family recipe “porcupine dip” for the first time. Yum!

Brook, thank you for sharing your story! God is so good! It is an incredible journey you'v ebeen on. We want to adopt 2 kids from Poland. Looks like it is a long pathway, but you are such an encouragment to me. Accualy I was born and raised in Poland, in town named… Czestochowa!!! Now I live in USA, but my heart goes out to the little children out there.
Thank you for making home for one of them. Viola
