I have a few minutes and wanted to share a little recap from Grant’s big day. Sunday’s First Communion celebration was a gift in so many ways. The Lord provided beautiful weather, we were on time to church, and my dad was feeling well enough to attend. There have been some changes in his health and I will share the update when the time is right, but needless to say, it was deeply emotional to see him dressed in a good shirt and tie and there for the celebration. We had planned a little party afterward but I actually ended up canceling it at the last minute. Thankfully our wonderful friends understood, and the simplicity was a blessing. Here are a few of the highlights:
Easy First Communion molds. We bought blue (vanilla) and white meltable discs from The Flower Factory and made these as a family project. Very easy! Printable tags from Catholic Cuisine (here) and molds from Amazon.
This is a plantable card with a cluster of flowers just waiting to bloom! The cross itself includes seeds that are intended to be planted. What a great idea. Click here to view more plantable party favors for all occasions.
Finally, I wanted to share a fun little article about The Fish, our awesome listeners, and a little about our family and me. I had the privilege of sitting down with Ty Lee, a reporter for North Neighbor News for an article. It was in our town paper this morning and it was exciting for the kids. They enjoyed seeing their photo in print!:) Click here to read the story , and thanks so much to Ty for writing it.
