Happy Birthday to our handsome son Garrett! He is six! When did this happen? Such a dapper young gentleman:
A Birthday Prayer:
Timeless Creator, I honor the day of Garrett’s first cry, sucking deep the sweet air of life. Year upon year, time pervades our souls, leaving a story of memories. May Garrett realize that You set him on this earth for a reason, and to carry out Your plan all the days of his life. Amen
Between Grant’s First Communion last Sunday and Garrett’s birthday today, we’ve had our fair share of cake to feast on. Garrett opted for the Sam’s Club Cookie cake (and I think I’ll be opting for a fast tomorrow)!:) In other MAJOR news, Gus is crawling! I can hardly believe it. The kicker is, he can only move backward at the moment (Len calls it “moon crawling,” ha). He is only six months old and this momma is not quite ready for it. Ready or not, I think his decision is made…he’s mobile!
Look out, Gus Bus is coming through!:)
Thanks so much for those of you who entered the Trish Berg book/Point of Grace contest. You still have a few more days to enter if you haven’t already, just scroll down to the post below.
Lastly, wanted to share a new alarm clock app I downloaded that aims to inspire you awake. It’s called “Arise Victorious.” The description says: “Arise Victorious gently wakes you to motivational Bible readings set to a delightful medley of birdsong, and beautiful, uplifting music. The developer claims Arise Victorious can inspire your morning. Influence your day. Transform your life. Wow!
I have to confess, I just tested it out and it was neat, but the chimes and crickets went on way too long before the scripture started. I think I would be in snooze-land long before I got to the daily Bible verse! I’m not sure if I can change the settings, but it’s 99-cents if you want to give it a try. Click here for a list of additional Christian apps.
Have a GREAT Friday!

MY favorite way to wake up is to Len & Brooke in the morning! 🙂
