Hello dear friends. Welcome to the Sacred Sink! It’s a place I pray you’ll enjoy and consider a quick little cyber-sanctuary worth visiting once in a while. Most days I’ll just be posting ordinary adventures of our family. However, my goal is to incorporate a lot more practical prayer for busy moms and overall inspiration to lighten your load. I am also looking forward to introducing you to some fabulous guest posters who will blog about everything from quick family recipes, to homeschooling.
To find out more about the title and heart behind the blog, please check out “The Mission” section. Also, a bottom-of-my-heart thank you to Su from Star Sunflower Studios for making this website possible! I won’t go into all the details, but I actually changed design companies at the last minute and she was a life-saver. Su is a talented, creative, pro to work with. I will definitely be recommending her to my fellow blogger friends. Click here to find out more, and read a recent post about her working on The Sacred Sink. Oh, and on a fun side note, you’ll also have more opportunities to win goodies! In fact, I had planned to give away a Mother’s Day gift package to celebrate the launch of the new website, but it looks like that will be pushed back a few days. I’m running behind because of the busy weekend. Here’s what the last 32 hours looked like:
The 95.5 The Fish Mom Squad Celebration with Point of Grace and Jimmy Pena. Over 800 beautiful ladies packed two shows at Hartville Kitchen! A busy but awesome day. Gabriel helped behind the scenes at the lunch event, I was so proud to be his date!
Shelley, Denise, and Leigh from Point of Grace. Loved these ladies!
Collecting diapers for Laura’s Home. So many generous donors pitched in to help the City Mission. Thank you!
Saturday was action-packed, but great fun. Thanks again to the beautiful women who spent the day with us at Hartville Kitchen.
On to Sunday: Grant’s First Communion!
Busy but beautiful. I hope to put together a little recap of Grant’s festivities this week. For now, signing off with a prayer for you. Please check back soon, much more to come this week!:)
A Prayer to Walk with God
Lord, the life of today is frantic and delirious. I often find myself lost in the crowd, conditioned by whatever surrounds me, unable to stop and reflect.
Make me rediscover and live the value of walking toward you, laden and compromised with all the reality of today’s world; the consciousness of feeling constantly called by name, by you; the grace of responding freely, of taking your Word as light to all my steps.
