Happy last day of school! In our neighborhood some kids are already out, for others it will be next week, and for our guys it was today. Garrett graduated from kindergarten, the only one in his classroom with perfect attendance. Way to go Gare Bear!
To celebrate, I decorated the kitchen table with their papers, crafts, a few photos and highlights from the past school year (easy since I have so many paper piles yet). Once I had it displayed, it really made this mom’s heart swell to see some of the beautiful artwork and certificates they achieved.
Next was the icing on the…cream. Garrett helped me build a big sundae station with ice cream and tasty toppings!
The toppings included:
Marshmallows
M&M’s
Gummy bears
Brownie bits
Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Licorice bits
Sprinkles
We also added whipped cream and chocolate syrup
There’s no limit when it comes to toppings, there are so many wonderful options: nuts, fruit, crushed Oreo’s, so many choices!:)
I laid out some wet wipes but I was kicking myself for laying out a WHITE table cloth (what was I thinking)?!
Garrett was happy with his role as ice cream engineer:
Y-U-M!
The real cherry on top (for me at least), was the “End of the Year Prayer” we shared before digging in. A good reminder of God’s hand guiding us through another fruitful year.
Click here to download and print. Congrats to all the kiddos (and YOU mom and dad) for another successful year!

Your kids are so lucky to have such a thoughtful mom as you. You and Jim have got to be a greatest role models. I save all that stuff too. Only now it is from my grandchildren.
Congrats Garrett. You did a fine job as Ice Cream Engineer as well.
These are the things your children will remember and pass on through their families. Enjoy all these milestones. I am, again. God bless you all!
