Well Hello There! I’ve been feeling a bit sheepish lately when I compose my posts. If you’ve stuck with me, I owe you a big thanks because I know the updates have been few and far between. I always intend to do better, but I just haven’t quite seemed to get a handle on my schedule…still. This is a good example of why:
Even a child lock won’t keep this guy away! He figured out how to work it off the knobs and open the cabinet door (under the sink too, not good)! That snapshot is a good glimpse into the average day.
Just a few quick notes. Fall has been absolutely beautiful! This weekend we took advantage of the weather and snapped some new family photos. I’m not sure if everyone (or anyone) was smiling and looking at the camera, but the background sure was pretty! Here is a quickie pic my friend Jayme snapped with my cell phone, with the older boys and me.
Speaking of Jayme, I owe her a BIG thank you for the bin of beautiful girl’s clothes she lent Karolina. I can’t believe how great K. is making out with her fall/winter wardrobe! It’s so funny to see her closet compared to the boys. The boys are not in to “outfits” and will normally just throw on whatever covers their body (clean or dirty, matching or not). As long as they are well-groomed (which is an ongoing work in progress) it’s all good. Karolina on the other hand, has a great variety of choices and it was such a fun discovery as we unpacked the bin. Look at this adorable little number:
Beautiful plaid cowgirl! That’s about it for now. I’m in the midst of researching Dutch Ovens. We’ve had it on our “wish list” for quite some time, and now with all the stew, chili and braising recipes for Fall, I think we are going to go for it. I know they are expensive, but wondered if there is anything different about the varying brands and price points? Good info here. We are also getting ready for Gussy’s birthday which is coming up in less than 2 WEEKS! It’s just not possible! Trying to savor every second. Enjoy your day, and thanks for stopping by! God bless you.
Would love to hear some of the activities you're thinking of doing with the family for the year of faith! I made my par class a simple red cross out of a pipe cleaner to symbolize the beginning of the year of faith! God bless:)
very cute pictures, Brooke. Love your blog!
