Last week the FedEx guy dropped off two goodies we’ve been waiting for. First, after much deliberation and about a year of throwing the idea around, Jim ordered the “P90x” workout system. He has a friend who was impressed with the results and that sold him. It is an intense workout though, no doubt about it. I always thought it looked good, it’s just it seemed very high-maintenance and I figured it would be take more time than I had in order to stick with it. A few months ago though, I heard Greg Willits (from the Catholics Next Door radio show) rave about the program…and they have several kids and a busy life too, so that further peaked my interest.
Well, it’s been 6 days and so far Jim and I have managed to squeeze in the workouts. In fact, he is even following the meal plan for extra measure. I am proud of him. We’ll see how it goes but right now we are feeling the burn!
I also received my “Julius Caesar” book and thankfully that has been a good/interesting read so far. Yet another book to add to the stack on the nightstand!:)

Brooke- I've been following with your blog for a while now, and see how much you were trying to find a good workout system. Then, when I saw this post I was so happy to see you found the best workout system ever(in my opnion that is). My fiance' used it and got FANTASTIC results and now is passing it down to family and friends. The workouts are intense, but well worth the results! Hope all goes well, and you and your husband get the results you want.

Thanks for your review! I keep hearing that and so far…I believe it. I guess it's like anything, you have to commit to it and the results will come with the effort you put in. Thanks again.

My husband and I are also doing p90X. We are just starting week 4. I've always enjoyed exercise (usually the FIRM) but P90X takes it to a whole new level. The first week or so was really tough, but I plugged through, and the results are coming! Keep it up! Also- I have never been able to do a pull-up, or even hang, so if by the end I can get anywhere close, it will be a miracle!
